There's some really excellent work in there. Some of the portraits are superb. As for this rut you feel you're in, have you read On Being A Photographer, by David Hurn and Bill Jay? If not, go find a copy and read it a few times. There is excellent advice in there about all aspects of the subject, including a very good discussion about shooting photo essays, knowing when you've finished, and how to avoid shooting the same thing over and over.
