The driver for the 4800 is just as ancient as that for the 2400. Epson
has clearly dropped the ball on snow leopard.
Back to 10.5 for me.

Likely not. The Stylus Pro series will most likely be supported long

consumer line even though it was mostly marketted to low-volume
pro/amateur printers.

Man, I hope this isn't true for the 4800.

Subject: My Last Epson Printer?
According to Apple tech guys, Epson had all the specs for the new
operating
system in plenty of time to create a driver for the 2400. I
suspect that since
the 2400 is discontinued, Epson just won't bother. Likewise, their
driver for
the 3200 scanner won't work with the new operating systems. If
Epson chooses to
abandon their customers, I'll abandon Epson. There are other good
alternatives
out there.
