According to Apple tech guys, Epson had all the specs for the new
operating system in plenty of time to create a driver for the 2400. I
suspect that since the 2400 is discontinued, Epson just won't bother.
Likewise, their driver for the 3200 scanner won't work with the new
operating systems. If Epson chooses to abandon their customers, I'll
abandon Epson. There are other good alternatives out there.

They dropped the ball on their Perfection scanner driver too. I
installed the latest one after I upgraded to Snow Leopard. When I start
a scan it simply hangs (spinning pizza of death). I uninstalled and
went back to the old Tiger/Leopard driver, which still works.
Then I contacted Epson support to let them know that their latest driver
doesn't work -- enter Support Hell! A dozen messages back and forth. I
gave up on them completely when the support droid told me for the second
time what I should do to fix my Epson *PRINTER*.
Canon's well worth a look. My local media house likes their Canon pro
level inkjet printer a lot.
