Thanks for posting this, Paul. I haven't upgraded to Snow Leopard

I used Time Machine to restore my computer to its Saturday morning
configuration -- a couple of hours before I got stupid:-). Looks like
it worked fine. I'm showing system 10.5.8 and most apps open. However,
seems I'll have to reinstall CS4. Not unexpected.

Back to 10.5 for me.

The difference is I expect an updated driver at some point for the
4800.
It should be ready now. But Epson is notoriously late with driver
upgrades. I
suspect that the 4800 driver and the 2400 driver are virtually
identical, as
they're similar printers. I think it there's a new driver for the
4800, there
will be one for the 2400 as well. However, Epson contends that
their current
drivers will work with either printer and snow leopard. From what
I've read on
the web, neither the 4800 nor the 2400 driver that's currently
available is
fully functional. From my own testing, I know the driver for the
2400 doesn't
allow printing with PhotoShop in control.
I suppose I'm more annoyed than I should be. I can easily go back
to 10.5. But
after many hours on the phone with Epson techs, I've come to the
conclusion that
their support is seriously lacking.
Paul
Note I've had similar issues, Epson dropped support for the 2400's
Firewire port on Vista (and Win7), which was a real PITA since I
prefer using Firewire when possible.
