If you're still printing with your 2400, it may not work as you

I hope that Epson has a fix by the time you upgrade.
I haven't looked at printing at all yet, been too busy. Perhaps I'll
give it a try today if I have the time.
I don't need the driver to do much since I always print completely
color managed from Lightroom ... all I need it to do is turn off all
color management and pick the right paper feed type for the papers I
use, operate the printer in Best quality hardware mode.

Unfortunately, the new Epson driver doesn't give you the option of
turning off color management, nor will it allow the choice of best
quality printing. It forces a dumb printing mode. I haven't tried it
with Lightroom, but it simply doesn't work with PSCS 4. I suspect
Lightroom's printing functions are identical. Apparently, there is no
solution. I'm going to keep 10.6 on my laptop, and I'll experiment
again, but I'm restoring my work computer to 10.5.8.
