Hi Igor: No, I wouldn't replace a cartridge until it's empty. I've had
similar ink levels in my R2880 as your graphic depicts, and I still get
quite a few prints made after initializing takes place when replacing the
empty cartridge (ie your VLM). HTH. Cheers, Christine

Subject: How does Epson Printer behave upon ink replacement?
Hi All,
Do I understand correctly that upon replacing just one ink cartridge
an Epson Printer (2880) will "clean/initiate" all cartridges
(hence loosing the inks in all of them)?
Does it happen even if you just open the cartridge housing and then close
it
without replacing a cartridge?
I remember someone (Godfrey?) telling that he sometimes changes other
cartridges at the same time, even if they are not empty (hence
my conclusions above).
So, - would you replace any of the inks (LLK, LC, LK?) besides
VLM in this situation:

Thank you,
Igor
