Hi All,
Do I understand correctly that upon replacing just one ink cartridge
an Epson Printer (2880) will "clean/initiate" all cartridges
(hence loosing the inks in all of them)?
Does it happen even if you just open the cartridge housing and then close it
without replacing a cartridge?
I remember someone (Godfrey?) telling that he sometimes changes other
cartridges at the same time, even if they are not empty (hence
my conclusions above).
So, - would you replace any of the inks (LLK, LC, LK?) besides
VLM in this situation:

Google "SSC service utility" It allows you to change individual carts
and clean/purge them singly, too. Even works with chipped ones.
Mike, thank you - it could have been a useful (although a bit scary -
in terms of the printer insurance) utility, - but R2880 is not
supported.

Not as scary as the last post on this topic.

Looks like SSC has not been undated for two years or so - sad, as it was
(is) a very useful piece of kit. Oddly, the forum is still bubbling
along, with occasional contributions from the programme writers.
