MR> for 90% of my shooting (and I'm glad I have a K2 for the other 10%).

But there is such Pentax! It's all the bodies with mechanical MLU
(except LX)! I use my K2DMD without cable release too! You know what
is it called? SELFTIMER ;-) Yep, on the K2 one can engage MLU and than
use selftimer (set on short delay). But I guess on the LX it's
impossible as one cannot engage both at once. The KX should work the
same as K2.

Some other situations where mechanical MLU is much useful:
1) obviously, nature photo (animals, flowers in wind, even landscapes
sometimes but not much - e.g. now the trees are windless,...)
2) low light photography handheld! With a wideangle, I can
significantly reduce blurring of the subject while handholding a 1/8
or similar speed when I engage the MLU before I shoot. The composition
is easy to keep the same.
3) Or add a viewfinder from a RF camera on top of prism to use with
the 20mm and voila, you have VERY quiet body people don't notice you
have taken a photo. Focusing by guess is easy with superwides.

Good light,
