only way I can think of: - install an HSS capable flash on camera, set up for HSS operation. - put the GPS device on a flash slave
You'll be able to use the full range of shutter speeds. First burn will trip the slave and trigger the GPS unit. Kinda clumsy, I agree, but it's the same situation with my panasonic bodies.
