With a little wedding experience under my belt (approximately 700 of 
them) one thing I can tell you for sure.  The bride and groom will 
always want pictures that are taken during the quietest part of the 
ceremoney.  But the last thing they want is for everyone in attendance 
to turn and look at the photographer when they hear "kerplunk".  I 
would never shoot a wedding with anything but the quietest shutter I 
could find.  Most of the weddings I shot were with a Mamiya C33 or a 
Koni-Omega.  If I were going to shoot with a 35mm, I would use a 
rangefinder camera.  Wish I had my Yashica GSN way back then. If there 
is any noise at all around me, I can't hear its shutter.
