I was surprised with that bokeh shot -- the scan is right to the edge of the transparency, and I can't see any falloff in the corners at all. The shot was wide open. I have a few others of bright light sources shot the same way that I can scan. I haven't managed to flare this lens yet. As for distortion, I was horrified while looking at one of the processed transparencies -- I thought that the lens was exhibiting horrible barrel distortion! However, upon examining the subject again (and looking at a shot of it with another lens), it turns out that the subject itself was distorted.
