It was quite funny actually.
The first service advisor was plainly unable to give me the answer I wanted,
so I finally just asked:
"Do you have the authority to say yes?"
The adisor said "no", so I replied
"Fine, we're done, let me talk to your supervisor".
The senior service advisor didn't seem able to give me the answer I wanted,
so I asked:
"Do you have the authority to say yes?"
The adisor said "no", so I replied
"Fine, we're done, let me talk to your supervisor".
I was then transferred to the warranty claims department, where the first
person I talked to seemed unable to give me the answer I wanted, so I asked:
"Do you have the authority to say yes?"
The adisor said "no", so I replied
"Fine, we're done, let me talk to your supervisor".
I ended up talking to the warranty manager, who seemed unwilling to give me
an acceptable answer to my question, so I asked:
"Do you have the authority to say yes?"
The manager said "yes", so I asked:
"Are you going to say yes? Because if you aren't, we're done, and let me
talk to your manager".
I got put on hold until the next day, when they called me back to book the
service appointment, and assured me that they were warranting the repair.
