As usual it is always useful to look at who is disseminating this kind of
information. In this case it is a front organisation for the alcohol,
tobacco and 'restaurant' (read McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's etc)
industry. This means, of course, that the information they provide is not
necessarily the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It's
propaganda (like the information that PETA puts out) and you would be wise
not to take it at face value.

It doesn't matter who's disseminating the information if it's true.
There was enough fire here to interest the district attournies in
several counties and states. The actual stories from the local
newspapers and the the PETA's own statistics when compared to other
animal rescue organizations are damming. It's hard to prove animal
cruelty when the animals are euthanized and unlawful disposal of animal
carcasses is simply littering, and if they're dumped in a trash can, not
even that. So no harm no foul right?
