I simply cannot uderstand why folks get freaked out by cameras of ANY kind!
I grew up with cameras around, and having them shoved in my face by relatives...
What the H... are they so paranoid about?
Where's the law that says you can never take photos of 'this or that'? Or, him or her?

It's mostly a power trip. "I'm a cop, and you have to do what I tell you." If you refuse to obey you're resisting arrest.

Anything that is not compulsory is forbidden.

Partly it's because the courts adopted a policy that it's ok for cops to break the law as long as they have good intentions. Then that policy gets expanded to private cops.

Then to private armies.
