Yes, Charles is right--the moisture issue. Putting it in a plastic bag when bringing it into the house helps the equipment achieve room temp at a slow, safe pace, from what I've read. Since the flash had been in the car for 3 nights, I assumed it was *especially* cold :-), so I used this technique. Cheers, Christine
