Oh yeah totally and it wrecked the value of my FD glass to
smithereens... on eBay Germany a Pentax 200/4 late genereation MF
macro lens will fetch roughly 8 times as much as my truly excellent
Canon FD 200/4 macro would. But if I am ever to change systems,  I
will and can only look at the merits of what is there. The Pentax
price hike was a mother of a kickinthenutsagram for me, too - I
haven't bought a single piece of Pentax kit since then but added
novoflex to my gear which is all adaptable to various cameras and have
been trying to procrastinate the Pentax or Canon or Nikon after all. I
am not ready to take any chances on Sony though; don't ask me why
