Are you shooting with a K7D? I shoot my granddaughter's baseball and soccrer games all the time and get a good hit percentage with the K7D and DA* 60-250. The same is true when shooting cars. I've had good results with both continuous autofocus and spot autofocus. Far better than what I could achieve with the K20D. Would another camera be better? Perhaps, but the K7D meets me needs, including action work for a number of pubs and other clients.
My K7 and 60-250 would have fallen flat on it's face trying to keep up with that Golden Retriever in that little Canon vid. I know this because I tried a similar series of pictures with my dog running in 6 inches or so of water, and the camera was unable to keep up with that. When Pentax AF will keep up with a galloping Rottweiler, they will have done their job with making a decent AF.
Until then, they have a way to go. William Robb -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
