Well they more or less stole the idea for the Lisa OS from Xerox, then
sued Microsoft for having the temerity to steal the same idea for the
first version of Windows.
Windows 2.0. Windows 1.0 was just a gussied up version of the DOS "file
manager".
And Microsoft didn't steal the GUI from Xerox, they "borrowed" it from
IBM OS/2 (which they were developing under contract).
IBM stole it from Xerox.
Xerox belatedly sued both Apple and Microsoft ... I don't think even
they were willing to take on mighty IBM during the its days of power and
glory ... but were thrown out of court because the statute of
limitations had expired.
