And, I'd guess we don't _really_ know whether Bob was railroaded by a P.O.S. judge or not, do we? Does anyone here feel it's morally justifiable to support a 35 year sentence for what seems to amount to negligent manslaughter?

Just curious, from whence comes the vituperousness I read here...

Have any nay-sayers actually READ the web site? Hmmmm.

Personally, I think all he is guilty of is showing bad judgement in befriending a druggie and having an affair with someone 1/3 his age. As for showing remorse, it's hard to show somthing you have no reason to have, and I suspect 7 years on he's been ground down to just the facts. The entire process leading up to his conviction shows how dangerous it is to elect law enforcers who then feel they have to convict to get re-elected rather than to convict based on the law itself. I find it ironic that the same people showing no sympathy for Bob's situation are the ones deriding him for showing little or no sympathy towards his now dead girlfriend.
