Ann,
I had wondered if anyone would pick up on that. I saw it too. The tree
guys came in the other day and there is nothing left but logs big logs!
I am waiting to see how that gets handled he he....BTW after pruning,
the root balls fell back into place. Maybe a few pictures this
afternoon when the light gets better. After all that it's 50 deg and
sunny here now.

Had no idea when I first looked at these that the tree fell on your
house...
and I had only seen the first two... (I have a problem with images on
flicker because of my email set up
too annoying to get into explaining)
I was struck (ooops, no pun...) by this one ---
http://www.flickr.com/photos/jhg2/4395385432/in/set-72157623535053242/
because of the threatening _hand_ in the left of the image..
never saw the tree trunk and house until now (never came up)
I do the same re when things get "interesting" -- or have done... a way
of coping.
Be well and watch your blood pressure when udeanling with the adjustor
best,
ann
