Jelly and jam are similar, but not quite the same. Jelly is made from fruit juice. Jam is made from crushed fruit. Preserves, raspberry being my favorite, are made from chunks of the fruit. They're all combined with lots of sugar and pectin. Jello-O is a name brand for fruit flavored gelatin, and may not have any actual fruit in it at all. The by-products of brewing, here in the US, are often turned into fertilizer or horse feed. I'm sure as hell not gonna spread it on my toast. <g> -- Scott Loveless http://www.twosixteen.com/fivetoedsloth/ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
