Thanks Larry, I'd prefer something for a sandwich and flask, rather than flat
storage, but can invisage some use.
My only complaint with my fastpack 350 is the lack of a good way to
attach a tripod. It has a nice pocket at the top for fairly large
things, I often carry my "small camera body" up there, along with air
blower etc. It would be a good place for a sandwich.
There's a small pocket on the outside of that area, easily accessible
that is good for carrying wallet, cell phone etc. There's also a nice
pocket lower down that's on the cover of the body/lens divided area.
there's a cover to that pocket with quick releases that can be used to
carry a tripod crosswise, but I don't like being nearly a yard (meter)
wide, especially if I were on a bike.
I did some improvisational engineering so that I can sling my tripod
over my back with a strap. I attached a little loop to the bottom of
the center column using the 1/4-20 threads, and I attach the other end
to one of the pan head release knobs. On a motorcycle, I'd find a way
to strap the tripod next to the seat, sticking out over the back wheel.
On a motorcycle, I don't even like wearing a backpack because if I get
off I don't want anything attached to me that would be
uncomfortable/dangerous to land on.
