I agree, Ecke. This was not originally intended as a portrait. We met Yanna in Rome on Palantine Hill. She was leading a tour group and was kind enough to answer a question for my wife. I was shooting a sign above and to the right of her head when she turned and I saw the flower and the reflection in her glasses, and I grabbed a quick snap. Later, I liked the general look of the shot, although it had problems, including the out of focus sign just to the right of her head. That's why my first rendition was cropped so close to her head on the right -- I cropped out the sign. When others rightly criticized the close crop on the right, I cloned out the sign, rather than using the close crop. There is a lot wrong with this shot, and it's probably never going to be worth the effort it will take to fix it all, but now I'm looking at this as a challenge. <G>
Thanks for taking the time to examine the image and provide the guidance I need. Dan M On Sat, Mar 27, 2010 at 7:53 PM, eckinator <[email protected]> wrote: > 2010/3/27 Daniel J.
