IIRC the price difference from 15" to 17" is rather a lot.  Sure you get more 
under the hood but you can always buy an external monitor for when it's at home.

A quick look at the tech specs page on Apple's website doesn't seem to help, 
maybe someone else knows which technology they use.  I personally prefer the 
anti-glare screens so I ordered that for my macbook pro a couple of years ago.

I'd recommend upgrading to a 7200rpm drive.  SSD is a bit expensive for my 
liking but I'm expecting it to be viable when I replace mine.  I upgraded my 
memory last year and it was pretty easy to do.
