ummm, April Fool's?
The 24/1.4 has me thinking that, too
24 mm FF ain't a blues or fetish lens really
I also do a lot of landscape photography, particularly at night, and
wide and fast are the big weak point of the aps sensor and available
glass. An old nikkor 50/1.4 should be fairly easy to find for a
reasonable price.
The 28-105 I have is only f/2.8 at that end, but should be fast enough
to start with with the D700.
But, yeah, it was an April Fool's joke. The scary thing for my bank
account is how feasible I could make it seem. Get a D700 for the shots
I tend to use my shorter lenses for. My 28-105 on a D700 probably isn't
as sharp as a 16-50, but it's nearly as fast and covers a wider range.
Compare the D700 sensor with the K20 and the lens is faster than a 16-50
on my K20.
I wouldn't sell my Pentax gear though, there are too many things that it
does better than a D700 (like fit in my fannypack).
