For cars, I use "Vettemarks", which is in what year the top
of the line Corvette had that level of performance. Note
that a lot of econoboxes these days probably have vettemark
performance in the 1980s.
Corvette hasn't had "vettemark" performance in the 1980s since
the 1970s. Not a Corvette made since 1967 that's worth pissin'
on.
Uh, 638 horsepower in a car that bites like a bulldog with a bone in
its mouth doesn't work for you? Bembo carbon/ceramic brakes? Plus 1G
laeral acceleration without a whimper?
The Corvette ZR-1 is a world class supercar that can turn away most
of the exotics at about half the price.
And half the horses wasted hauling around excess fat.
Corvette's become a over-priced toy for rich wankers who don't have the
coordination to ride a Harley (another once proud marque that became a
parody of itself in the hands of wannabees).
It's ugly and it's mama dresses it funny!
