As far as I know Adobe hasn't done anything to make my

Was that Photoshop 1.0 or the Barneyscan version?
Good point. "Over 20 years"? Photoshop only celebrated its 20th
birthday about 6 weeks ago.
IIRC, Photoshop was first released as a standalone in '90, Imagepro/
Photoshop was knocking around as a bundle for a couple of years
previously. I think I first read about it in New Scientist, of all
places.
To run something like Photoshop 20 years ago you needed a couple
hundred thousand dollar workstation. Very few places outside of
scientific establishments had those kinds of things to mess around on.
Do you mean today's Photoshop back then? Because Photoshop would run
fine on my Mac IIc (4 meg), better on my Mac IIfx (8 meg), back in the
day. Slow. But with nothing to compare it with available/affordable,
it screamed!

THE SENILITY PRAYER :
Grant me the senility to forget the people
I never liked anyway,
The good fortune to run into the ones I do, and
The eyesight to tell the difference.
