Nevertheless, PhotoShop 1, which was released in 1990, was written for Macs. 
Not, as Peter said, for "couple hundred thousand dollar workstations." No, it 
didn't have anywhere near the capability of later versions, but we were able to 
use it effectively to create ads and product brochures.
