Ken,

Your point is well-taken; I plead guilty to alerting the list of EBay
opportunities. I believe the record will show that I call attention only to
EBay's non-U.S. sites, notably Germany. My reasoning is that I want someone
on the list to get it, rather than an outsider. Especially if the item is
offered at a Buy It Now price, where time is of the essence.

But when I put the shoe on the other foot, I would not want some
blabbermouth to reveal a misspelled find, or a Pentax-brand find that was
misfiled under "Other", that I had set my heart on.

Buying low and selling high, as you plan to do, is a legitimate way to earn
money; it gives a chance to those of us with less time on our hands who are
willing to pay someone else to do the finding.

I'll continue to alert the list to opportunities to buy hard-to-find lenses
on specific web sites--I'm speaking of online retailers. But you've got me
thinking that it might be better to alert the list that "I know where one
is being sold for the equivalent of xxx dollars; write to me if
interested?" I will respect your advice on this.
