Has Toyota revealed (yet?) what actually went wrong and the actual fix for the problem? I think that should happen.
Supposedly it was a problem with an accelerator pedal assembly, but not everyone accepts their explanation. There are questions whether it's in the electronic engine controls rather than the mechanicals.
I'm aware of at least one claim of runaway acceleration in a vehicle that had been through the recall and I don't know what Toyota has to say about that.
