The raynox ships with an adapter which fits from 49 mm and up.
I'm not sure if it works on a DA40. My DA16-45 must be set at 55 mm if
you don't want vignetting.
Results with the dcr250 are excellent. I have at least one lens with
IF which gives weird bokeh with extension tubes.
Most of the time I put my 250 on a F100 macro for extreme macro shots
