What security software do folks suggest?
Not so much a suggestion as my experience ...
I used Norton up until I retired from the military in 2007 and no longer
had access to the DoD servers for updated virus definitions. Had it set
to automatically do its thing at 3:00am, and never noticed it hogging
resources. Nor do I remember any particular problems it caused me.
Since then I've been using the free version of AVG. It's been relatively
transparent. I have had a couple of automatic updates that required me
to restart the computer, but nothing like the aggravation Micro$oft and
Adobe have caused me.
