When your package is shipped and your tracking number is assigned... you can
actually call up FedEx and have them hold it at the location you mentioned
below.  Then you might be able to short-circuit the system and pick it up
yourself.

I've done it before just because I knew I wouldn't be home to pick it up
since I live in an apartment.  I don't want someone signing for it and
taking my stuff.
