I think you need to play them like aces on the blackjack table.
Make one good before you go to the next.  Go over it with a fine
tooth comb, magnifier, whatever, and list everything that you
want corrected.  Then pack that body along with a copy (or two
copies, if you're as paranoid as I am) and ship it out for
repairs.  Check it against your list when you get it back, run a
roll of film through it and, if satisfied, start on the next
body.  If you send them all together, you can't be sure that the
repair guy won't get the instructions mixed with the bodies.

Another thought is to call and talk to the person that does the
work and mark the package for his/her attention.  Then, if all
is well on the first camera, send them to the same person.

Just a couple of thoughts.  I kind of agonize over who works on
my gear.  Maybe too much.
