It depends on what you are using it for. When I am behind my tripod, the length is OK, and I guess a substantially longer one would only give me too much cable, so not comfortable to use. (A lot of cable, but where did the switch on the end go?) So as a replacement of the traditional release it is OK. In other situations it would be nice if it were longer, 5m is perhaps too short, 10m would be better. I also thought about an extension cable to put on the Cable Switch F. It requires me to get proper plugs, one male and one female (I know I am not politically correct, but at least everybody understands what I mean) and I don't know where to get those from. I didn't look into that very well either to be honest.
