Hey Adam, Well, after this rainstorm, my camera certainly was malfunctioning for a while. When I turned it on, it would instantly record an image, then the stop-down DOF preview feature would engage several times.
Hmmm...now I think about it, these are features associated with the shutter button. Maybe some water was in there, instead of in the four-way controller? Thanks for the suggestion on the WR lens. But I'm simply in love with my Tamron 90mm 1:1 macro. I've had it since it came out, and it is really a sweet lens. In fact, I like it so much, I bought a second to keep in my camera closet in case something ever happened to the first one! The storm itself was memorable. A typical Florida electrical storm, and my party of five botanists were studying plants in the middle of a huge field. We were the tallest things for 3/4 mile in every direction, and of course we were all carrying metal tripods. We ended up finding an erosion gully and layed down in that for 35 very wet minutes, as lightning and heavy water crashed around. The gallows humor jokes were worth it, though. Barry P.S.
