The K-7, like the K10D, is fully weather sealed. The DS is not weather-sealed. Water on the back of the K10D should not cause any problems, the 4-way is a sealed unit. When I had the K10D I shot it in proper downpours multiple times without issue (It's not really up to immersion though, although a brief and shallow dunk shouldn't harm it)
You also might want to look into the new D-FA 100/2.8 WR Macro, which is also sealed. For full protection you need to pair a sealed body with a sealed lens (Currently the DA* lenses and the WR lenses are sealed). -Adam On Mon, Jun 7, 2010 at 7:10 PM, Barry Rice <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hey Larry, > > Thanks for your comments. > > I am unfamiliar with any "water resistance" features on the K-7, but it > has any, it would be a huge plus.
