Right, but Larry, admit it - you don't just slap on to your camera some zoom lens and head for your dojo thinking that modern day uber gear will do it for you... So you only prove my point that when you know why you need zoom or prime, you are likely to get more good shots...
Of course zooms and primes have their use and I still opine that neither can totally replace the other one.
