This is one of my favourite shots, mainly due to the car - a Holden Monaro. although this modern version the original Monaros were part of the muscle car era.
Some may know the modern Monaros as a Pontiac Grand Prix - but this one has the original Holden grill, although the bonnet looks like a Pontiacs. I used my *istDS and a Sigma zoom lens, but I can't remember which one.It was taken in 2006. ISO was 400, not particularly high for the DS and shutter speed of 1/350 - not really critical as drfit cars are ver slow, they spend most of their time going nowhere, just spinnng their wheels. The aperture was f16 - which accounts for the unfashionable depth of field for a sports shot. http://philnortheast.com/aviewfinderdarkly/general/potw/monarodrift.htm Phil Northeast www.aviewfinderdarkly.com.au -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
