I usually do a few test shots before the birds show up for breakfast. I get decent looking histograms, but i can see in the lcd monitor the peanuts looking to bright. I usually have to dial in a lot of - EV then every thing looks way to under exposed. I have thought that maybe the concrete slab might be adding qa bit of glare and throwing off the exposure,, but the AM shoots are usually in shade, getting diffused light.
