Why did you choose to subscribe to the digest when you're receiving the email via a Web client? To use the digest in combination with a webmail based client sounds counter intuitive to me. When I wish to reply directly to the original author in of a PDML generated post I simply expand the header (show details) and quickly copy and paste the new address into the 'To:" box.
