We'll see.

The first camera out with the sensor expected for the K-5 has been
tested on DPReview (the Sony A55) although it's not in stores for
another month due to Sony's strange ideas about announcing product
months before shipping it. Preliminary results suggest the sensor
could be as much as 2 stops better at high ISO than the D300s's sensor
(the D300s is only marginally better at high ISO than the K-7, it gets
the better test results by overexposing through overly optimistic ISO
ratings. ISO 6400 on the D300(s) is more like ISO 4000 in reality).
That said, the D300s's AF is likely to have as big an advantage over
the K-5 as the K-5's high ISO will likely have over the D300s and it
will still have advantages in fps (8), battery life (2500+ RAW shots
with the grip and an EL-EL4a) and extra features (GPS, Wifi
transmitter available, including wifi LV feed with tethering)

Who is expecting good things from the K-5 but not D300 level AF performance.
