Naah, the Pentax 18-250 is "good enough" by quite a tall margin given
its excessive range. My main concern was cost/risk balance and I
figured getting a new Spamron with a 5 year warranty for the price of
repairing a 32 months old out of warranty Pentax might not be a bad
trade if the Spamron was optically comparable. I'd happily give up 50
mm for that and crop a little more. I have to buy something seriously
longer at some point anyway.
Cheers
Ecke
