Hi all,
just checked, I can have my 18-250 repaired for EUR 122,57 or replace
it with an Tamron or Sigma 18-200 for 160 - which would you do? Also
can anyone comment on IQ differences if there are any?
TIA Ecke
From the reviews and my memory thereof it follows that surprisingly
18-250 is better than either of 18-200. All of them being rather weak in
general. I am sure you can find real plenty of (full size) images taken
with these lenses and make your own ultimate choice, Ecke. Personally,
I'd consider going DA 55-300 if you want a long zoom but that can be
outside of your bugdet. Between these three lenses - it is indeed a toss
up. If you think that the repairs will be done properly and a half a
year warranty will be attached to the repaired lens, then may be it is
the safest way to proceed.
