Here is an ignorant question: The new 35 does sound like a very "weak" lens offering. But is it possible that it is a cheapened version of the 35 limited macro? Could they make a 35 that has the top class sharpness of the 35 Ltd macro but maybe a little less in the way of macro abilities?
