Decided to burn a roll of B&W 35mm today
which I havent done in ages. Heres
a shot ( sorry overcast skies ) taken
with the Mamiya-Sekor SX 21mm F4. (screwmount).
I used tmax 400 and shot at 1/125 F8
First time I used this one for B&W.

Contrast and sharpness are excellent.
You can even make out the bricks in the center
of the building on the big scan.
Great Lens, ( terrible weather ).

For kicks I shot from the same place
using the Super-Takumar 35mm F2 (67mm thread
version). BTW, this is my fav. screwmount 35mm
focal length lens.

>From what I can see ( the prints are better than
the scans) the Mamiya meets or exceeds the
SuperTak in every way. The geometric distortion
is almost nil. I didnt do a comparison against
the bow wow 20mm Super-Tak (next time) but I bet it
kicks it's butt.

I've mentioned this before:
For those of you seeking a good screwmount
in the 20mm range I recommend this lens highly.
Warning: It cant be used on a K mount body
because it doesnt have an auto/manual switch
( although you could epoxy the aperture pin in
the "in" position if you really had to put
it on a k body I guess)
