Malamutes were bred to pull a sled, without thinking too much about why they are doing it.<G> Alsatians were bred to serve, protect and shepherd. Much the same stuff that Rottweilers were bred for. OTOH, Malamutes are much smarter than cats. Every now and again, I get a Malamute in my class. They are truly lovely animals, and without exception have been unflaggingly loyal to their people, and very friendly with other people and dogs. They are a bit talkative though......
