You're right, it's extremely misleading! I hate to be cynical, but from this guy's description, he seems to know something about photography. Otherwise, he wouldn't know that a 1.2 is extremely fast. It's not like he's playing dumb - you know, like "I know nothing about cameras, I'm selling this for an ailing friend who's blind and can't use his equipment anymore", sort of thing.
I'd say this borders on fraud. Reminds me of those auctions that mention only the word "Pentax" in the title and description, and when you look closely at the fuzzy pictures, you barely make out the word "Albinar", or some such.
