Thank goodness the scanner only costs $112 -- and that some of you
(along with others) bought my calendars...!

Digital ICE doesn't work with B&W, and has problems with Kodachrome.
I think it's because Kodachrome is basically a B&W film with color added
during processing. One explanation I've heard is that Kodachrome has a
lot of residual silver grain after processing and Digital ICE thinks
it's dust on the emulsion.
