I use a few of the Hoya HMC filters, too, Frantisek. It seems to me as if they're reasonably close to Pentax SMC filters in quality (although, yes, "SMC would be still better"), and I also find that they're a lot easier to clean without streaking than are the Pentax SMC's. (No, I don't go around routinely cleaning my filters, but sometimes one has to be "tidied up a bit".) Besides, the price of Pentax SMC filters for the larger sizes is so high that one is tempted to put "cheap UV filters" in front of them just to protect ~them~. <g> Fred - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
